This program calculates the market prices for a variety of stocks and bonds.

Coupon Bonds:

This program calculates both the bond's market price and yield to maturity. If you want to calculate a bond's market price, then enter the market interest rate into the appropriate green cell and press "Calculate Market Price" button. If you want to calculate a yield to maturity, then enter the market price of the bond in the appropriate green cell, and press "Calculate Yield to Maturity." The program can only estimate the yield to maturity, when it ranges from 0 to 100%.

Discount Bond:

This program calculates the market price for a discount bond. You may enter a time either in years, months, or days. The program also calculates the time to maturity by using 360 days per year by selecting the appropriate button.

This program calculates the market price for a consul or perpetuity. The program also calculates the stock price as a perpetuity. Please leave the growth rate of the dividend equal to zero for all calculations, unless dividends are growing at rate g.

This program breaks down when the interest rate and number of years are extremely high. You also cannot enter commas or dollars signs into the fields.

The following arithmetic operations can be inserted into any of the cells

  • Addition is +
  • Subtraction is -
  • Multiplication is *
  • Division is /
  • For example, entering 1000-10*10 into the amount of the loan results in 900.
