1. Boil water. Then make extra strong coffee. A cup of coffee is usually 1 tablespoon of coffee. Thus, I double the concentration and make a cup of coffee with 2 tablespoons. I like to use ground coffee for the flavor but instant coffee works for this recipe.
2. For each cup of coffee, I add one tablespoon of sugar. I greatly reduced the sugar in my diet, so I am sensitive to the sweetness of sugar. (I can even taste the sugar in bread). You must add the sugar while the coffee is hot for it to completely dissolve.
3. Let the coffee cool. Fill a glass with ice and pour the coffee into the glass. Add at least a 1/2 cup of milk.
Tip: You can make a sugar syrup by boiling one cup of water with one cup of sugar. You simmer the mixture while continually stirring. Once the sugar dissolves, then let the syrup cool.
